In this module we created sample books, which will be developed throughout the year offering a reference guide for basic costume construction.
Week 1:
In week one we looked at hand stitching techniques. Used for joining pieces of fabric and finishing edges.
Week 2:
In week two we looked at machine sewn seams, exploring which seam type is best suited for different fabric and garment types.
Week 3:
In week three we looked at different methods of manipulating fabric including, gathering pleating, creating channels and pockets.
